CHURCH COUNCIL

The Church Council is the governing body of the church. Chairs of each ministry area, the Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary, Lay Member to Annual Conference plus 9 At-Large Members sit on the Council, which meets monthly.

Finance & Stewardship

FINANCE AND STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE

Supervises the budget (tracks income and spending), the Fall Stewardship Campaign, and any fund-raising activities. Includes at-large members as well as the church treasurer, financial secretary and other ex officio members.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

Meets throughout the year to identify people’s spiritual gifts and help connect them with the ministry opportunities at St. Paul’s. Trains and recognizes volunteer leaders.

STAFF-PARISH RELATIONS COMMITTEE

Hires, evaluates, counsels and supports staff. Offers the staff opportunities for spiritual and professional growth. Responsible for identifying and recruiting persons to the ordained ministry. Evaluates the parsonage.

TRUSTEES

Responsibilities include bequests, legacies and trusts; insurance; property maintenance, sale and acquisition; building programs; legal responsibilities; and governmental regulations.
