St. Paul’s Nursery School

After 60 years of service to the Ithaca community, St. Paul’s Nursery School will be closing its doors in June of 2017. Many factors, including diminished enrollment, have led St. Paul’s Church Council to this decision. We are grateful to the directors, teachers, parents and children who have been part of this program over the years!

If you have any questions, please contact St. Paul’s Children’s Ministries Coordinator, Laura Dolch, lauradolch@stpaulsithaca.org.

At St. Paul’s Nursery School, we believe that children learn best through play. Our non-denominational program allows your child to explore an exciting variety of activities in a warm, child-centered preschool.

Your child will be supported by our experienced, dedicated teachers who every day care for and nurture your child at preschool and who work closely with each other and with your family to create a safe and inviting place where all of our children will learn and grow.

SPNS offers small preschool classes for individual attention, a positive approach to discipline, early childhood facilities and creative activities. These elements combine to nurture your child’s social, emotional, physical, creative and intellectual growth at SPNS.

Since 1956, St. Paul’s has offered this weekday nursery school program to church families and the community. While fitting into the administrative structure of the church, SPNS does not offer a specific religious curriculum. The nursery school maintains the classrooms shared with other church preschool programs. Church families are among those given first priority for enrollment and when qualified, for teaching positions.
